| Any ideas for moving two cats in together?
I recently had to move my cat from my house over to my girlfriend's house. She also has a cat. Right now her cat (the younger one) is kind of hissing and growling, but they're not really fighting at all. I think her cat is just being protective of his turf. Has anyone else every done this? Any suggestions to ease the transition? | | Nov 29, 2007 5:30PM | [ Reply | Quote ] | | | | | Author | Comment | rraccr

| MOVING IN TWO CATS
Hi, i wouldn't worry too much about the hissing etc. Cats do prefer their own company and would rather not share their humans, but they learn to tolerate each other eventually. I have brought full grown cats together severaly times and eventually they either get on fine in time, or ignore each other!... They just need time, and as little interference as you can. Do not try to force them to be nice to each other, let them do it in their own time.
Hope this helps. Ruth | | Jun 16, 2008 8:27PM | [ Reply | Quote ] | mattfinazzo

| Thanks, they're doing fine.
They have been living together for over a year now and are used to each other. They got over themselves after about the 1st month. They still run around and playfight, but it's all in fun and I think they enjoy living together. | | Jul 21, 2009 4:12PM | [ Reply | Quote ] | | Author | Comment | | |
